The River Bugs

From a wide range of musical backgrounds, Margaret River’s RiverBugs share a common love of swing era jazz standards with a sprinkling of rhythm and blues.  Since forming in 2017 they have a great following in the south west.

Singer Janine Andrews came from a professional jazz background in Paris before settling in Margaret River.  Bassist Viv Booker is a veteran of the Perth Jazz scene and Scott Wise on guitar, vocals and occasional blues harmonica is a newcomer to the band’s jazz repertoire but has a long history in blues, rock and folk music circles.  Together they make a unique combination as a trio and whenever they can, they pull in Louise Marsh on saxophone and drummer Gary Larkin.
