Refractory Road are hitting the road, touring the Southwest July 7-9 showcasing their new single, ‘Less Hiding’.
Refractory Road provide a West Aussie brand of gritty, full blooded, beer soaked, pub sweating rock and blues.
Leading the resurgence in rock throughout Wheatbelt WA, Refractory Road present a full throttle guitar driven sound with Big Clear, Clean Vocals. The group writes and performs music that relates to the Australian way of life and champions personalities and events in our country’s history.
Refractory Road knows how to engage and entertain its audience through quality music, great lyrics and a roller coaster level of in your face stage presence.
Refractory Road have grown in leaps and bounds to place their name on Western Australia’s original music radar by playing on the WAM (Western Australian Music) Wheatbelt Tour, Dowerin Field Days, WAMfest, the Avon River Festival, the Toodyay Music Festival, Gingin Rock‘n’ The Arts, Bruce Rock Music Tour, Elevate Festival and the Nannup Music Festival.
The group consists of rhythm guitarists, Lloyd Reidy and Glen Dunkerton who alternate on lead vocals. Glen and Lloyd are the driving force behind the band with their clever original music arrangements and in depth lyrics. On lead guitar is the brilliant Grant Scollay with Jay Carter on bass, providing breakaway lead guitar solos mixed with a constant driving rock sound. On drums is the ever-reliable Kim Holten backed by his partner in crime, Eddie Powell on harmonica.
