MISTER SISTER

Mister Sister are a 4 piece funk and R&B outfit hailing from Perth, established in 2025 but moving quickly, earning their place in the funk scene.

Mister Sister place a strong emphasis on groove – drawing inspiration from 70s soul, funk, blues and modern R&B they are known for their ability to seamlessly blend influences, especially when crafting their originals, creating a sound deeply rooted in rhythm and feel. Their combination of a tasteful funk-driven rhythm section, alongside compelling vocals intertwined with rock and jazz guitar Mister Sister meshes styles to create a sound reminiscent of raw 70’s funk power.

Playing classics and hidden gems from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Micheal Jackson, Vulfpeck, Bill Withers, and Lauren Hill Mister Sister have appreciation for the classics whilst using their formal music education at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts to aid putting a modern and reimagined spin on things.

A versatile and tight knit band, with powerful female presence Mister Sister is gaining recognition across the South West and Perth funk scene – and continues to be passionate about spreading their sound throughout Perth the South West.
