Zaynab Wilson is a wayfaring multi-instrumentalist who transmutes stories of growth and progress into songs. Born in Montréal, a creative and cultural melting pot, and raised in a steelpan-playing family band, she sculpts an original soundscape combining intrinsic ancestral Afro-Caribbean rhythms and her soulful vocalization of the inward and outward journeys.
(The theme of artistic exploration is Dwij: an ode to the odyssey of rebirth, recalibration, and reimagining her artistic definition which is accentuated with the company of sensitive and dynamic musicians met along the journey – Zayta.)
