Western Australia’s high priestess of ruff cuts, sammythesinner, emerged from humble beginnings in the backwoods of Bunbury, where she immersed herself in the cult-like sounds of heavy bass at raves, starting at the tender age of 15. In just a few short years, she has risen to become a sought-after artist, supporting renowned artists such as Wilkinson, Netsky, Dimension, Shockone, Kaytranada, Diplo, and many more. Her genre-diverse mix style delves into the far corners of DnB, UKG, Bassline, Tech House, Experimental Bass, and Half time.
After slaying sets for Triple J Mixup, Origin, and Factory Festival and honing the production skills she acquired studying Music Production at SAE, sammythesinner dropped her debut track “Purgatory” in May 2021, and soon found support from local icons Aston Shuffle and Shockone, the later inviting her to perform at his Dark Machine Warehouse show. It wasn’t long before sammythesinner signed to Seismic Talent, joining the ranks of esteemed artists like Alison Wonderland, Young Franco, The Presets, and more, solidifying her place in the Australian dance music landscape.
The year 2022 was monumental for sammythesinner as she embarked on a nationwide tour alongside DnB moguls Luude and Shockone. She also graced the stage in New Zealand, delivering captivating performances at Rhythm and Vines and supporting esteemed artists such as Dimensions, Camel Path, and Alison Wonderland, among others.
