SUMMARY:MOSSY FOG
DESCRIPTION:Perth swamp lords Mossy Fogg have been stomping down the hallways of the WA music scene and beyond since their formation in 2014. \n\n\nVocalist Turin Robinson was already something of an industry veteran by this time\, and the initial line-up came together to band up on his solo songs. They evolved\, however\, into a rusty mix of rock\, blues\, roots\, folk and scrap iron that is collectively known as Mossy Fogg. \n\n\nThere’s a damn big voice in that there Robinson’s throat. It’s been fuelled by whisky and a life told in song. His growl is underscored by Dom Barrett’s weaving\, stabbing guitar and the hell-broke-loose rumble of Callum Morrison’s bass and Andy Pearson’s drumset. \n\n\nThe results are real\, raw and thoroughly alluring. Triple j’s Dave Ruby Howe in a four-star review for Weeping Willow stated it was ‘so authentic it ought to come with its own moonshine’. ABC Country Music Programmer/Producer\, Kath Devaney was equally effusive\, proclaiming\, ‘… the swamp is missing an angel! This is smart psychedelic prog swamp blues rock and I had no idea Perth was harbouring the next great Australian band’. \n\n\nWeeping Willow was also nominated for a WAM Song Of The Year award in the ‘Blues & Roots’ category and featured on Mossy Fogg’s second EP Stagnant\, which they pulled from their ever-mutating swamp in 2021. At odds with its title\, the EP represented a rebirth of the band\, with an evolved line-up and a bigger sound to match. \n\nThey are influenced by – but not beholden to – Tom Waits\, Timber Timbre\, Hozier and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds\, bringing elements of noiseful beauty and rough charm into their compelling live shows.

DESCRIPTION:Empire Blues – Duo an offshoot of the prominent Perth Blues band “Empire Blues” which formed in 2005. As the title suggests it is an unplugged duo version of the band with Andrew McIlroy on acoustic\, electric and dobro guitars/vocals and Alan Dawson on fretless bass\, upright stick bass and vocals. Andrew and Alan have performed hundreds of shows together with an infectious familiarity in their playing styles and in the past\, have supported countless interstate and overseas artists.  \nThe same principals of Empire Blues apply in that a considerable percentage of the songs focus on humour\, social comment and Western Australia.

She has shared lineups and stages with the likes of Vika and Linda Bull\, Clare Bowditch\, Joan and the Giants\, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse and Jack Davies. Off the back of a dual 2023 WAM Song of the Year nomination (Country & Outstanding Regional)\, with her song “Girls Like You” she set out on a 6 month east coast tour\, playing festivals and shows in every state. \nOlive is looking forward to the release of her debut EP\, Hit The Road\, and plans to spend the rest of 2024 settling back into life in WA and playing as many shows and festivals as she can.

They are currently performing a collection of songs from some of the great bands of the last 60 years\, specialising in high-energy guitar rhythms\, powerful vocals and harmonica all driven along by Ben Lawrence’s rock-solid beats. Whether playing 60’s\, 70’s\, 80’s\, 90’s\, 21st century or blues\, 43 Cambridge have always been able to tailor a set list thanks to front man Ray’s keen ability to read a room. \n43 Cambridge have played across Australia… from singing for their supper at Eucla Roadhouse\, to shutting down production at Murrin Murrin mine. They’ve played at The Espy in St Kilda\, Settlers Tavern in Margaret River\, Broome\, Adelaide\, Fremantle\, Sydney Wagga Wagga\, Exmouth\, Kalgoorlie\, Albany\, and most places in between. Pubs\, clubs\, weddings\, parties\, corporate and festivals. Raised in a family where music was always present\, surrounded by relatives who played instruments\, sang\, and shared a rich musical tradition\, Belu grew up surrounded by notes and melodies. Her formal music training began when she was a child\, and over the years\, she refined her skills\, eventually becoming a teacher of various musical instruments. \nAt the age of 27\, Belu was drawn to the world of electronic music\, which marked a significant turning point in her career. She began to explore this genre more deeply and immerse herself in the electronic culture by attending parties and acquiring her own equipment to mix. During the pandemic\, she found space to develop her craft\, while also experimenting with new sounds. Today\, she continues to refine her technique\, dedicating time to studying synthesizers and other tools that allow her to expand her knowledge and explore different subgenres of electronic music. \nAt 35 years old\, Belu has had the opportunity to travel through Italy\, an experience that inspired her to continue expanding her career. She currently resides in Margaret River\, Australia\, where she enjoys the landscape and the tranquility the place offers\, while continuing to share her music and talent at various locations in the region. Her passion for electronic music\, along with her constant search for new sounds\, has solidified her as an emerging artist in the international electronic music scene.

EXP pay tribute to this iconic act with their  Led Zeppelin tribute. \nSet one will warm up with beautiful Zeppelin acoustic classics\, then the masterpiece Led Zeppelin IV in its entirety\, including classics such as Black Dog\, Rock and Roll\, and the iconic Stairway to Heaven. \nSet two will be rocking iconic Zeppelin songs like Babe I’m Gonna Leave Away\, Dazed and Confused\, Immigrant Song\, Ramble On\, Heartbreaker\, and Kashmir! \nEXP are Great Southern WA’s premier exponents of psychedelic blues rock. DESCRIPTION:Come join Shannon Marangon from The Plum Trees as she celebrates the launch of her single release ‘Winter Sun’. With support from singer-songwriter\, Savanah Solomon. \n~FREE ENTRY~ \nABOUT THE PLUM TREES  \nThe Plum Trees is a collaborative outfit lead by singer-songwriter\, Shannon Marangon\, based in Dunsborough WA. \nHer musical journey started in Perth\, to which she then relocated to Beijing to record an EP with a full band that included her brother on bass\, Clancy Lethbridge and friends Scott McArthur (lead guitar) and Gabi (drums). In Beijing she played at popular music festivals such as the Mushroom Festival\, Dream Sonic and Fete de La Musique. \nReturning to Australia as a solo project she continues to collaborate with other artists\, write and reinvent herself as a guitar & ukulele playing indie-folk-alt mystic. Her latest song releases ‘Anything for you’ and ‘Winter sun’ were both recorded at Tiny Music Recordings in collaboration with Paul Francis Wood and features Steven Rea on drums. \nIn a live show you can expect breathtaking melodies\, heart felt lyrics and rhythmic guitar & ukulele picking & strumming. Shannon possesses a wide & powerful vocal range jumping from high to low pitches within a verse. Her performances are uplifting\, interactive and at times humorous with her witty one liners. \nABOUT SAVANAH SOLOMON  \nSavanah Solomon is a singer/songwriter from Moore River Western Australia\, whose country upbringing and deep passion for story-telling has led her to become a well-renowned songwriter in Western Australia’s Music Scene. \nThroughout the years Savanah has religiously toured throughout regional Western Australia\, and performed at a number of prestigious festivals – including Boyup Brook Country Music Festival and recently Nannup music Festival. \nSavanah’s powerful presence is still being felt with the recent release of ‘Where the River Meets the Sea’- a rustically charming alt-country EP that envelops around your senses and showcases Savanah’s superb song-writing ability. \n“These six tracks encapsulate so many stories – stories about nature\, my travels\, interesting conversations with my Dad\, and all things life – the tedious and challenging moments\, as well as all the sunshine and joy” \nThe title track has already created waves in the West Australian Music Scene –receiving a premier on Double J\, a number of rave reviews from the Triple J Team\, and just recently\, a Top 5 Nomination for the WAM (West Australian Music) Song of the Year Awards in the Country category.
