Longtime collaborator\, Rolf Fox occupies the drum throne\, grooving seamlessly between odd time-signatures and contrasting styles. \n \n\nSunbird Three\n \n\n\nSunbird 3 play the music of WA multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Dave Lawrence\, working as a trio with live bass from Kev McDonald and Lee Cummings on drums. \nBlues\, jazz\, rock\, swing\, soul\, ska\, latin\, funk\, gospel\, folk – guitar\, keys\, banjo\, and plenty of passionate vocals from Dave\, and a Rolls Royce rhythm section with Lee and Kev in the engine room. Sunbird 3’s music is wild\, clever and fun\, and these experienced players really shine in the live setting. Put your dancing shoes on! \nDave has lived and performed music all over the world\, from Perth to Paris\, Margaret River to Morocco\, Bali to Barcelona. His music has received national and international airplay and featured in film\, TV and theatre productions. His song Lush Like You ran over the closing titles of the 2014 Australian feature film The Little Death. Coming late to life as a lead singer\, Dave has also featured as a sideman over the years for such luminaries as Donna Simpson (The Waifs)\, Abi Tucker (Heartbreak High) and Mike Vdelli.

Forever altering his musical tools\, Matt occasionally leaves the pedantic vocalist and comedic drummer somewhat exasperated\, though this exasperation quickly turns to delight when something fresh bends its way from a finely tuned Fender. \nJoe Franzone is the youngest of the three\, a man caught between comedy\, acting\, ridiculous haircuts\, social influencer\, and finally where his true talent lies\, behind a set of Pro-Mark drum sticks he regularly pretends are wizards wands. And a wizard he is. To see the depth of concentration ripple across the lad’s visage as his explosive\, and intricate drumming style ignites a Grand Casual live set\, leaving the audience spellbound is something truly special. Wizardry abounds with revelers floored by the realization that Joe is drumming one-handed and taking the role of bass player with his second hand\, musicians’ favorite milk crates holding his second weapon of choice a Novation Bass Station Synthesiser. \nKyron spent his younger years imagining how it would feel to perform as a solitary vocalist\, allowed to move where an accompanying guitar would not allow\, allowed to dance the way a smooth surface\, wide-open space\, enthralled audience\, and lack of inhibition would allow. Able to drift vocals across music drawn forth by two of the most exuberant performers regional WA has produced. Finally\, he has that chance\, finally\, he gets to channel Elvis\, Jim Morrison\, Johnny Cash\, Keenan Maynard\, heroes\, legends enraptured by the bliss that is live performance. Kyron is pedantic\, over organized\, quick to stress\, this persona fades away when Grand Casual takes the stage. \nA stellar run of dates in Feb and March 2021 saw the lads hit the live circuit hard with epic performances at Nannup Music Festival\, Clancy’s Fremantle\, South Side of Summer Esperance\, and Wamfest proving “there’s nothing casual about these guys”. \n\nDallas Radio\n\nDallas Radio are a 5-piece Australian rock band from Dunsborough\, WA. The band formed in early 2019 largely from the division of two bands\, Dallas Royal and Desert Radio. \nLead by spirited front man Mitch Baker\, the new band quickly returned to form playing venues across the south west of WA. \nDallas Radio’s reputation for\nconsistently delivering pumping rock shows soon lead to the band headlining a festival tour across the country that culminated in the final show at The Domain in Sydney playing to\na crowd of 18\,000. \nWith live shows on hold last year due to COVID19\, the band quickly shifted focus to writing new music that draws from their diverse range of influences and\nexperience supporting acts such as Cog\, British India\, Dune Rats\, Jebediah\, Phil Jameson and Josh Pyke. \nTheir unique brand of\nentertainment fuses big vocals and catchy melodies with 90’s style guitar riffs and plenty of stage presence to make you get\nup and party. \nRecent easing of COVID\nrestrictions in WA means\nDallas Radio are back playing live gigs. Crucial Rockers has been a popular live act in Western Australia for many years\, appearing at Fremantle’s legendary dancehall night Fisherman Style as well as Perth Festival\, Wave Rock Festival\, RTR FM’s Harbour Sundays and more. \nHaving both gained early experience in the reggae genre\, with bands like Raggabeats and UK Players\, Crucial Rockers sees Barbe and Searle indulging in a shared love of classic lovers rock\, Studio One\, roots reggae and dancehall alongside long-time cohorts Jacques Letourdie (keys/bvs)\, Hardy Perrine (drums) and Jeremy Trezona (sax) \nHaving been a purely live proposition at first\, the band tested the waters in 2020 with the release of Teardrops – a skanking reggae version of Womack & Womack’s 1988 hit with a sweet dub remix on the flipside courtesy of local heroes Charlies Flat. Released both digitally and as a 7″ vinyl single (which sold out within a few weeks)\, the band is planning to release original material in the near future. \nCrack out the rum and rizzlas and sekkle in for a night of pure reggae niceness!

With COVID restrictions on live shows\, they spent much of 2020 writing new music and keeping busy in the recording studio. \nWith WA restrictions lifted on live shows\, Dallas Radio were quick to return to stages around the South West and recently performed at the WAMFEST music festival in Perth. Coinciding with the release\, they are booked in to perform a series of upcoming gigs across the South West to continue showcasing their new music including the first single “Suffering”. \n\n“Launching our first single “Suffering” is an exciting milestone and we have more releases coming soon\, so watch this space!” – Mitch Baker\, Lead Singer\, Dallas Radio. \n\nStepping onto the iconic Settlers Tavern stage is south-west favourites DALLAS RADIO playing 90’s Original Rock & Roll and some covers from the likes of the Foo Fighters\, Kings of Leon\, Powderfinger and heaps more featuring an amazing showcase of talent in this band including vocal powerhouse Mitch Baker fronting the band!
