The couple live full time in their van\, ‘the solar powered recording and rehearsal studio’ and have performed at festivals across Australia like Woodford Folk Festival\, Party In the Paddock and Airlie Beach Festival of Music. Known for music that is ‘fierce\, emotive and genuine\,’ Nkechi Anele from Triple J Roots ‘n’ All describes them as a ‘dynamic duo who go from strength to strength\, bringing nothing less than power and passion to their music.’In 2024 Salt & Steel took their project to the world with an East Asian tour\, captivating audiences at ‘Kahilwayan Festival’ in the Philippines and ‘Its Garage Fest’ in Cambodia\, before returning to announce more headlining shows at Townsville Folk Festival and Airlie Beach Festival of Music. They finished a strong year by releasing a festive track in December.The two are starting 2025 strong with an Australian national support tour with ‘Wheatus’. This will be followed with their own headline tour across the country to Western Australia and to festivals such as Nannup Music Festival.

DESCRIPTION:Since embarking on a solo career in early 2018\, Emjay Angeni has melted hearts and captured imaginations throughout Australasia with her relaxed brand of coastal roots/pop and affable nature both on and off stage.\n\nInfluenced by the likes of Jack Johnson\, Ben Harper\, Donavon Frankenwrieter and Norah Jones; Emjay weaves a blend of her own original songs\, interpretations of crowd favourites and spontaneous stories which blend to casually invite her audiences to relax\, smile and engage with each other as well as her performance–and all with an ease you might feel if you were sat for a cup of tea in her living room.\n\nThis point of difference has seen her become a sought-after act by many West Australian venues of note\, including residencies playing six nights per week\, for months on end at famous locations such as El Questro Station and Lake Argyle Resort. Emjay has appeared at Nukara\, WAM Fest and Fluffstival music festivals as a solo artist\, supported acts the likes of Saritah\, Juzzie Smith\, Karin Page and Little Quirks\, and also performs as one half of folk duo “Moon & Honey” with her partner Dan White-who opened Good Day Sunshine Festival October 2020\, performing with the likes of John Butler\, XavierRudd\, Eskimo Joe\, and Vicki Thorne. In addition to this Emjay appeared as a feature vocalist with Fluid Groove act “Blue ChildCollective” who were awarded “Best Regional Act” at the 2019 West Australian Music Awards and were regulars on the festival and international touring circuit-recently playing NZ Spirit Fest\, Bendigo Blues and Roots\, Nannup Music Festival\, Nukara Music Festival and having supported such acts as Xavier Rudd\, Sticky Fingers and The Cat Empire.

SUMMARY:TRAV COLLINS
DESCRIPTION:Trav Collins is an Adelaide based singer- songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist. He has been playing shows and street performing all over the country since 2016. He has played everywhere from house concerts in far north Queensland and Broome\, to front bars a few streets away from home in Adelaide. Trav plays a 12 string acoustic guitar plugged into an array of effects pedals and a tube amp which he creates unique roots/ folk style cinematic soundscapes with. The didgeridoo\, banjo\, harmonica and lap steel guitar also make appearances during his live set making his sound very expansive for a single person on stage. His lyrics and stories are from experiences in his life both beautiful and heartbreaking\, his vocals reflect tones of sincerity and truth in each word. DESCRIPTION:DOORS 9 PM / MUSIC 9.30PM \nFREE ENTRY \nAFRO ROOTS MUSIC \nSinger –songwriter\, talented drum-kit player and percussionist\, George Joe arrived in Australia in 1998 as a musical ambassador of Zimbabwe bringing with him the contemporary mix of Zimbabwean traditional mbira music (Chimurenga)\, Sungura\, Soca Beat\, Jit \, Kwassa Kwassa and Roots Reggae. \nShangara Jive music is written collaboratively on the foundations of Georges roots and culture\, the music takes its influences from traditional mbira (thumb piano)\, drumming and dancing troupes in Zimbabwe with musical flavours influenced from the Congo\, South Africa and Senegal . Songs are sung in English and Shona and reflect themes of day to day living in Africa\, African traditions and culture\, education for African youth\, political impacts on African societies\, and the joy of music. \nGeorge formed the band ‘African Music Congress’ shortly after arriving in Australia in 1998\, and this band went on to win ‘Best World Music Act’ in the Western Australian Music Industry Awards. for the four following years. \nGeorge formed Shangara Jive in 2002 and since then they have played hundreds of shows and supported many international acts such as Yousou ‘n’ Dour (Senegal)\, Thomas Mapfumo (Zimbabwe)\, Ozomatli (USA)\, Oliver Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe) and Malaika (South Africa). \nShangara Jive released the EP Play with Fire in 2004 and launched their latest full length album\, Melody\, in 2012 with sponsorship and support from Radio RTR 92.1 FM ‘s Fresh Blast program and Healthways Western Australia. \nThe band’s lively show is all about the heavy melodic grooves founded on the mbira and african percussion. This sets the stage for a very entertaining\, exciting and interactive experience which appeals to all ages\, backgrounds and cultures. \nAnd now joined with \nRumbie Tavaziva is a fantastic singer and songwriter from Zimbabwe. She has worked with many leading Zimbabwean artists including Chiwoniso Maraire\, with whom she toured to festivals across Europe\, Mauritius and South Africa. Rumbie recently arrived in Australia and is immediately playing live with the authentic Shangara Jive\, one of Perth’s premier Zimbabwean bands.
