The couple live full time in their van\, ‘the solar powered recording and rehearsal studio’ and have performed at festivals across Australia like Woodford Folk Festival\, Party In the Paddock and Airlie Beach Festival of Music. Known for music that is ‘fierce\, emotive and genuine\,’ Nkechi Anele from Triple J Roots ‘n’ All describes them as a ‘dynamic duo who go from strength to strength\, bringing nothing less than power and passion to their music.’In 2024 Salt & Steel took their project to the world with an East Asian tour\, captivating audiences at ‘Kahilwayan Festival’ in the Philippines and ‘Its Garage Fest’ in Cambodia\, before returning to announce more headlining shows at Townsville Folk Festival and Airlie Beach Festival of Music. They finished a strong year by releasing a festive track in December.The two are starting 2025 strong with an Australian national support tour with ‘Wheatus’. This will be followed with their own headline tour across the country to Western Australia and to festivals such as Nannup Music Festival.

DESCRIPTION:Empire- Blues -Duo an offshoot of the prominent Perth Blues band “Empire Blues” which formed in 2005. As the title suggests it is an unplugged duo version of the band with Andrew McIlroy on acoustic\, electric and dobro guitars/vocals and Alan Dawson on fretless bass\, upright stick bass and vocals. DESCRIPTION:The Big Town Players have emerged in the last seven years as the wild card on the local Perth blues circuit with the international sound. Part Muddy Waters\, part Billy Thorpe\, the old school R & B\, pub rock\, soul and blues influences are undeniable. This is energetic\, Chicago style harmonica driven rock and roll that is perfect to dance to. Sporting a big fat\, raucous\, electric bar room sound and great songwriting\, the Big Town Players have carved out a following that enjoy a lusty live delivery and traditional blues sound with a rock and roll edge. Following appearances at the Bridgetown Blues festivals in 2017 & 2018\, the band released its first album “BIG TOWN” in January of 2019 at the Perth Blues Club to some acclaim. Subsequently the album debuted at #8 on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay charts (ABARAC) and stayed for a mighty 6 mths. In 2021 BTPs released their second album ‘OTHER SIDE OF TOWN’ that reached #3 on the (ABARAC) charts.

DESCRIPTION:Legs Electric have for half-a-decade now been one of Australia’s finest hard rock bands – ultra-energetic and always ready to deliver\, the quartet have wowed both national audiences and international rock’n’rollers with whom they’ve shared the stage. \nIt all comes down to good old-fashioned hard work and the fact that each member’s upbringing was soundtracked by a sonic diet of classic rock from the likes of Deep Purple\, Rolling Stones\, Grand Funk Railroad\, Jimi Hendrix\, Fleetwood Mac\, Neil Young\, KISS and more. \nAma Quinsee’s powerhouse vocals originated from “singing the house down with my loud pipes\, putting on my own concerts in the lounge room but still it wasn’t until my late teens that I took my shower-singing ways onto the stage and dabbled in various arts such as drama\, musical theatre and finally arriving at this destination… singing in a rock’n’roll band!” \nAma took to the cover band scene early in her music career\, leading to her original-based rock’n’roll future with Legs Electric. “Those seductive power vocals by the likes of Chrissy Amphlett\, Suze De March and Pat Benatar\, they were always in the setlist and really influenced my style.” \nThe primal drum energy of Kylie Soanes emanates from having a rock’n’roll obsessed Dad and her own preoccupation with Keith Moon. “Then when I was 10 years old Hanson were young kids playing music and I wanted to be better than Zac Hanson\,” she laughs. “A bit embarrassing now but hey\, I was 10! I started drumming at 11 years of age.” \nErin Gooden’s tight basslines spring from a lifelong fascination with the creation of sound\, picking up bass early on then playing trumpet in the WA Youth Jazz . She returned to bass upon entering the rock scene. “Music grounds me in my daily life\,” she says\, “the ability to express yourself through an instrument is second to none.” \nThe epic\, soaring guitar solos of Elana Haynes have their roots in her primal urge to be involved in music. “I needed to be a part of it\,” she explains. “I’ve always enjoyed coming up with little melodies and riffs that can either be developed into a song or just a fleeting comical jingle.” \nThere’s rock and blues sensibilities inside Legs Electric\, along with some pop/melodic nous. The classic rock is in there too\, but it’s authentic and never merely nostalgic. \n“Add one dash of Deep Purple hard rock\, two ounces of Baby Animals attitude and garnish with some Fleetwood Mac harmonies\,” says Ama. “Shaken\, not stirred.” \n“The key would be even though we draw influences from music that we love\, we try and incorporate some of their personal flair into our sound therefore giving it an original sound\,” says Kylie. \nAfter a year proving themselves on stages around Perth\, the band issued their first release\, Legs Electric Maximum Rock ‘N’ Roll EP in 2014. “They were the first five songs we had written as a band\,” Kylie recalls. “We catalogued them in the order of how we had written them\, so that’s kinda cool.” \nIn 2017\, Legs Electric released a second EP called Two Sides. “We recorded two singles with Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe) with our former members (ex-guitarist Laura McCormack and former drummer Abby Soanes\, still very much part of the Legs family) and two singles with Kenny Watt which was a rad way to introduce to you our new members\, Elana and Erin\,” says Ama. \n“A band is like a relationship\,” continues Kylie. “So whoever you bring in has to gel with you personality-wise. Being an all-female act\, they have to be able to work with your musicianship and we’re lucky to have had\, and now found\, some amazing musicians to share the journey with.” \nIn 2019 they released Tuesday Girl\, produced by Simon Hallett. “It was a song we wrote as the new band and a new direction of sound\,” says Ama. “However\, we find our musical make-up is always changing and evolving.” \nThat evolution can easily be observed when you compare the debut EP’s opening track\, Illicit Love\, to the more recent Tuesday Girl single. While the former is very Zeppelin/Purple-influenced and a nod to the classic rock gods\, the latter is more of a throwback to 90’s influences such as Hole and Veruca Salt\, with a touch of Leg’s classic rock sound. “That song is for the ladies who aren’t afraid to stand up and say what they think\,” says Ama. \nMeanwhile\, the Legs Electric live show is where all the proof you need is served – overdriven energy in spades\, whether they’re playing to three people or 3\,000. Each show is played as if it’s their last. \n“We feel energy and excitement the moment we step on stage because we know we have a show to deliver and that we do well as a team\,” says Erin. “Melting makeup\, epic hair flicks and rocking out moments are what we live for and the audience reaction is the best response to what we feel up on stage.” \nAlong the way\, Legs Electric have played some super-impressive support slots for the likes of Shihad\, British India\, Dallas Frasca\, Ali Barter\, Cherie Currie\, Sebastian Bach\, Uriah Heep\, Ace Frehley\, Blues Pills\, The Datsuns\, The Bellrays\, The Baby Animals\, The Superjesus and Wolfmother. They had a date with KISS last November before the tour was cancelled and are still very keen to tick that box one day soon. \n“The relationships that we make from working with international bands is super important\,” says Kylie. “They have all been where we want to be. Some bands that we have played with from the US we are still friends with today and they act as mentors and believe in what we want to achieve and that’s really nice considering they have hit the big time and still want to chat with a band from Perth\, WA.” \n2020 brings a new decade and a new vision for Legs Electric. “We want to take our music to the masses\, rock some festivals and keep the future of girl rock alive!” Ama exclaims. “Our creative direction is in a constant state of change and we have definitely evolved from our classic beginnings and now entering our Boho-Rock phase as we continue to write our new album.” \nThe band are in the process of completing that full-length debut album. The rollercoaster will only become a bigger ride from there. \n“We want to play overseas.” Kylie states. “Take Legs to Europe and the USA and just see what happens. Life is one big risk and a musical adventure!”

DESCRIPTION:EXP bring their Led Zeppelin tribute to Settlers Tavern on Saturday night 4th of May! \nLed Zeppelin were one of the most influential rock supergroups to emerge in the late 60s\, and into the 70s. EXP pay tribute to this iconic act with their re-vamped Led Zeppelin tribute. \nEXP play masterpiece Led Zeppelin IV in its entirety\, including classics such as Black Dog\, Rock and Roll\, and the Stairway to Heaven\, then other rocking iconic Zeppelin songs like Babe I’m Gonna Leave Away\, Dazed and Confused\, Immigrant Song\, Ramble On and Heartbreaker. \nEXP are Great Southern WA’s premier exponents of psychedelic blues rock. EXP debuted in 2019\, with tribute sets to Cream\, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Over the next two years these sets each developed into their own full shows. In 2021\, EXP launched their Led Zeppelin IV tribute\, 50 years after the epic album was released. \nEXP will feature:\nPaul Meyers – drums\nRoss Dwyer – guitar\nRusty Lynch – vocals\nDavid Rastrick – bass\, vocals\, mandolin\, keyboard\, flugelhorn\, harmonica… \nYou may have seen EXP’s Rolling Stones tribute at Settlers in November 2023. The band’s latest album ‘Which Way Is Out’ is their 3rd album (6th release since 2017) and digs deeper into the bands genre fluidity.\n“ WHICH WAY IS OUT was based around a similar work flow we have taken on previous releases. The idea of going away to write/record has been the best way for us to completely be involved in the project. I think it allows us to step back from the other responsibilities in our life for just a minute and set our minds on one thing at a time\nWe have said it before but I think it’s something we will have to say as long as we are putting out records\, that being our desire to keep trying to force ourselves out of a specific ‘ one genre band’ and explore new ideas within the sound that we have developed so far.\nThe new album contains the classic grogans formula of heavier songs\, cruiser songs and acoustic tracks. This helps us make our records have a sense of movement but also continuity between LPs.\nWhich Way Is Out is a collection of tracks we think fit on a record together\, some Tracks are old and some far more recent but we managed to pull together a body of work which I think is somewhat nostalgic but also forward looking. DESCRIPTION:FREE ENTRY\nResiding in Tauranga New Zealand\, Grant Haua picked up the guitar at age 13\, and in his own words\, “I am still learning that guitar today”. Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist on 7 studio albums Grant’s latest album AWA Blues was a top 25 Album of the year in Rolling Stone Magazine France in 2021. ‘This is the Place’ track on the album debuted at No.1 on New Zealand’s iTunes Blues charts. \nGrant is no stranger to WA\, touring annually in the West between 2015 and 2019 with New Zealand’s most infuential duo; ‘Swamp Thing” including mesmerising performances at Nannup and Bridgetown Music Festivals. Following his own path and love of Soul/Blues songwriting and performing\, Grant departed Swamp Thing in 2019 pursuing his own solo career. Europe has embraced Grant Haua’s unique sound with his powerful vocals and blistering fingers on the guitar\, leading onto the signing by French label\, Dixie Frog records followed by a tour through Europe in 2022. Grant’s highlight of the Europe tour; performing a full set on iconic German Music TV Show Rockpalast. \nThis ‘Salt of the Earth’ humble guy leaves nothing behind on stage after every performance.
