DESCRIPTION:Lightnin Jack was literally born for the music\, brought up on small holdings in a Jarrah Milling Town of Southwest Western Australia\, raised on a diet of Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Creedence\, Lead Belly and local bluesmen\, an upbringing that’s reflected in his evocative\, soulful music and adds a discernible touch of authenticity to everything he does. \nBusking and bootlegging CD’s were just the beginning\, with Jacks career spanning the last 3 decades and bringing the release of three studio albums\, a rollicking LIVE recording\, and this years highly anticipated full band Album Tone River due for release in November. A live sound that brings energy and tone far beyond the one man that sits on stage has seen him work in the studio\, in support of\, or alongside a list of artists that would make your head spin – The Angels\, Phil Emmanuel\, Roshani\, Blue Shaddy\, Tony Joe White\, Ash Grunwald\, and The Southern River Band to name a few. \nJack is not one to sit still\, notching up an incredible average of over 120 live performances every year\, with audiences witnessing the breadth of his repertoire\, ranging from intimate acoustic shows featuring lap steel\, resonator and crooning lyrics\, to the high energy sets at festivals like Nannup Music Festival & Blues on Broadbeach\, where his valve amp tones\, heavy electric grind and percussive performance capture the Blues Roots Grunge style that is very much his own. \nWhether you have been following Lightnin Jack for the duration or are a newcomer to his incredible music\, it doesn’t matter – come along and witness the full force of this 3rd generation musician as he is joined on stage by his musical brother Sachin Parker on Drums.

DESCRIPTION:EXP “Unplugged”: Hear sounds ranging from psychedelic acoustic classics to blues’n’roots on the Settlers Tavern verandah on Sunday 17th of August. \nEXP step outside their usual territory of the wailing electric guitars of Cream\, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin\, to bring you the acoustic side of the rocking 60s and 70s and more. \nYou’ll hear some beautiful acoustic classics by Led Zeppelin\, as well as some of the blues songs this supergroup drew from. You’ll hear and sing along to the acoustic side of Jimi Hendrix\, classics by The Rolling Stones\, Credence Clearwater Revival\, Eric Clapton\, Cream and The Beatles\, as well as a few more modern unplugged classics. \nEXP’s “Unplugged” acoustic special features the sounds of acoustic guitar\, 12-string guitar\, upright bass\, percussion\, mandolin and more. \nEnjoy the acoustic vibes with EXP acoustic trio from 3 to 6 p.m. on the Settlers Tavern verandah on Sunday 17 August.

DESCRIPTION:Olive Mae is an exciting emerging folk/ country singer songwriter from southwest WA. She hit the Australian country music scene with a bang in 2023 with the release of her single “Rainy Days” and she is one to watch for the future. \nHer sound has been likened to artists including Paul Kelly\, Frente\, Sara Storer and The Waifs. She has shared lineups and stages with the likes of Vika and Linda Bull\, Clare Bowditch\, Joan and the Giants\, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse and Jack Davies. Off the back of a dual 2023 WAM Song of the Year nomination (Country & Outstanding Regional)\, with her song “Girls Like You” she set out on a 6 month east coast tour\, playing festivals and shows in every state. \nOlive is looking forward to the release of her debut EP\, Hit The Road\, and plans to spend the rest of 2024 settling back into life in WA and playing as many shows and festivals as she can.
