A regular on the local stages for some 25 years\, though it wasn’t till relatively recently that Mike began to record and play his own original songs.\nIn 2018/19 Mike was a WAM “Song of the Year” finalist in the country category for “I’ll Be Gone”\, then again in 2020 for “As if you were there”. In 2020 Mike was a finalist in the Male\, EP and Songwriter categories at the West Australian Country Music Awards\, where he won In the Songwriter category. In 2022 he was again a finalist in the best male and video clip categories where\, along with co-producer\, wife Ange\, they were successful in the video category.\nDrawn to sounds from the past\, Mike’s blends a unique baritone vocal with tight rhythms and retro flavoured pop\, folk and country music.\nJoined by Maestro Kev McDonald\, guitarist/bassist extraordinaire\, the duo looks forward to entertaining the crowd on the first day of a fresh new year.
