DESCRIPTION:Jake Hoskins is a Cowaramup based singer/songwriter who mainly works as a solo performer. Jake has studied a diploma in contemporary music and has toured around Australia working with bands and as a solo artist.   \nAfter 7 years travelling and touring\, Jake is excited to be back in the southwest to play some shows with his new single release titled “Making dreams”.   \nJakes ability to write and express catchy songs about life and his journey make him a great entertainer.   \nAfter being the lead singer of a 5-piece Alternative rock band in 2011\, Jake decided his true path was writing his own songs and cutting his own track on the road.  \nHe released two EP’s from 2016-2017 in Perth at RADA studios titled “Heartleap lane” and Signs in the sky” which are playful in the way of songwriting showing mixes of indie\, folk\, blues and rock.   \nYears later he studied and got a band behind him in Brisbane where they recorded an album titled “Hoo Ha”. A more rock influenced album.   \nSince then\, Jake has lived in the Sunshine Coast & the Snowy mountains\, and also recorded another single “Uncle shoes” where he expressed a longing for coming back to home ground to be with his family – a more old school blues infused track.   \nJake loves to play his acoustic guitar and sing a whole range of styles and get the crowd dancing. His grooves and infectious melodies are a great addition to any setting.

DESCRIPTION:The Big Town Players have emerged in the last seven years as the wild card on the local Perth blues circuit with the international sound. Part Muddy Waters\, part Billy Thorpe\, the old school R & B\, pub rock\, soul and blues influences are undeniable. This is energetic\, Chicago style harmonica driven rock and roll that is perfect to dance to. Sporting a big fat\, raucous\, electric bar room sound and great songwriting\, the Big Town Players have carved out a following that enjoy a lusty live delivery and traditional blues sound with a rock and roll edge. Following appearances at the Bridgetown Blues festivals in 2017 & 2018\, the band released its first album “BIG TOWN” in January of 2019 at the Perth Blues Club to some acclaim. Subsequently the album debuted at #8 on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay charts (ABARAC) and stayed for a mighty 6 mths. In 2021 BTPs released their second album ‘OTHER SIDE OF TOWN’ that reached #3 on the (ABARAC) charts.

DESCRIPTION:DOORS 9 PM / MUSIC 9.30PM \nFREE ENTRY \nAFRO ROOTS MUSIC \nSinger –songwriter\, talented drum-kit player and percussionist\, George Joe arrived in Australia in 1998 as a musical ambassador of Zimbabwe bringing with him the contemporary mix of Zimbabwean traditional mbira music (Chimurenga)\, Sungura\, Soca Beat\, Jit \, Kwassa Kwassa and Roots Reggae. \nShangara Jive music is written collaboratively on the foundations of Georges roots and culture\, the music takes its influences from traditional mbira (thumb piano)\, drumming and dancing troupes in Zimbabwe with musical flavours influenced from the Congo\, South Africa and Senegal . Songs are sung in English and Shona and reflect themes of day to day living in Africa\, African traditions and culture\, education for African youth\, political impacts on African societies\, and the joy of music. \nGeorge formed the band ‘African Music Congress’ shortly after arriving in Australia in 1998\, and this band went on to win ‘Best World Music Act’ in the Western Australian Music Industry Awards. for the four following years. \nGeorge formed Shangara Jive in 2002 and since then they have played hundreds of shows and supported many international acts such as Yousou ‘n’ Dour (Senegal)\, Thomas Mapfumo (Zimbabwe)\, Ozomatli (USA)\, Oliver Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe) and Malaika (South Africa). \nShangara Jive released the EP Play with Fire in 2004 and launched their latest full length album\, Melody\, in 2012 with sponsorship and support from Radio RTR 92.1 FM ‘s Fresh Blast program and Healthways Western Australia. \nThe band’s lively show is all about the heavy melodic grooves founded on the mbira and african percussion. This sets the stage for a very entertaining\, exciting and interactive experience which appeals to all ages\, backgrounds and cultures. \nAnd now joined with \nRumbie Tavaziva is a fantastic singer and songwriter from Zimbabwe. She has worked with many leading Zimbabwean artists including Chiwoniso Maraire\, with whom she toured to festivals across Europe\, Mauritius and South Africa. Rumbie recently arrived in Australia and is immediately playing live with the authentic Shangara Jive\, one of Perth’s premier Zimbabwean bands.

EXP pay tribute to this iconic act with their re-vamped Led Zeppelin tribute. EXP play three feature sets of Led Zeppelin material! Set one will be Led Zeppelin acoustic classic and blues\, like Since I’ve Been Loving You\, Tangerine\, That’s the Way and Bron Y’Aur Stomp. DESCRIPTION:I was raised on the surf coast around Margaret River WA\, as soon as I discovered the guitar and playing music\, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. \nI was the top placing WA male singer in my season of Australian Idol\, finishing in the Top 10 from thousands of contestants. \nI’m an award-winning singer-songwriter\, Triple J artist to watch\, and one of Australia’s upcoming Folk artists. I’ve toured with Kim Churchill\, Ash Grunwald and across the country on my own headline tours. I studied music at WAAPA and the Australian Institute of Music and I’ve been a gigging pro musician for nearly 10 years. \nOutside of my career\, I love the simple things in life. A sunny April day\, healthy food and surfing in the pristine South West is where I find my peace. Since age 14\, all I’ve wanted to do was pick the guitar up every day. Starting a brand in wedding entertainment has made this dream come true\, now I chat with couples and arrange my own acoustic wedding music as a full-time job. My mission is to approach every gig with\, gratitude\, respect a constant drive to get better every time. Nothing feels better than seeing my couple’s dream wedding become a reality and working alongside my best mates.
