Soukouss Internationale are a multicultural collective of performers showcasing the best of authentic high energy African song and dance.

With members from Mozambique, Cuba, France, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia, UK, Sierra Leone and Australia, Soukouss Internationale present a colourful and energetic show celebrating the iconic Congolese style known as Soukouss.

For the last 50 years Congolese music has been the hit sound all over Africa, and with good reason: gorgeous vocal melodies, pumping booty shaking rhythms and scorching guitar solos.

In the space of not much more than a couple of years, the band have established themselves as one of Western Australia's most popular dance bands, proving their mettle with performances at events such as Leederville Carnival, RTR FM's A Moment in Time show at the WA museum, Fremantle's Hidden Treasures, Camp Doogs, Fremantle Street Arts Festival, Fairbridge Festival, PIAF as well as with nominations for "Best World Act" and "Most Popular Live Act" at the 2017 WAMi awards.

Of their PIAF performance the West Australian's Harvey Rae said "WA artists have enjoyed some memorable sets on the Gardens stage this year, but not one has rocked a bigger dance floor than Soukouss"

Led by guitarist Jamie Searle (Grace Barbe, Odette Mercy), the strikingly diverse lineup of Soukouss Internationale also features guitar hero Mahamudo Selimane from Mozambican supergroup Eyuphuro, plus members of Grace Barbe's multi award winning band, Odette Mercy's Soul Atomics and the legendary Askari Afrobeat Orchestra.

Fronting the band is dynamic singer Quentin Thony (La Reunion) with dancers Flora Osyanju (Kenya), Chabala Chalwe (Zambia), Aminata Kamara (Sierra Leone) and Patience Mwaba (Zambia)  Soukouss means "shake it"! - Get ready for an unforgettable night of music and dance!
