Andrew Winton

Andrew Winton (WA)

Sunday 19th November, 3:30pm. Free entry.

For 15 years Andrew has regularly toured local, national and international festivals and venues. Having recorded 6 albums, he has explored blues, roots and folk via uniquely designed lap-slide instruments from Australia and the U.S. and is known for his thoughtful lyrics and wicked sense of humour. Andrew was the first artist to start Settler's Sunday verandah gigs and returns once again on Sunday 19th of November to Settler's Tavern.

He will serve up songs from past albums, including his most recent "Glorybox Mechanics" CD. Andrew is also known for playing re-worked and well loved classic gems from a range of styles. Armed with his 13 string, double neck, Alabama cypress tree root lap-slide beast (The Lucky 13), his shows are always an engaging, interactive and musically rich experience.

"It has always been one of my favourite gigs where people of all ages and persuasions crowd in nice and close and I get to feed off that audience, interact and get pushed to perform as well as I can. I have had some of my most enduring memories on that verandah corner!"
